MICHIGAN CITY — A new bar in an unusual location is aiming to attract people to mingle for fun and business in the style of the Prohibition era. At the site of the former Moose Lodge on Franklin Street on April 20, residents indulged themselves in a blast from the past at a new speakeasy called Nightingale. Visitors needed a password to enter, after which they could indulge in cocktails, food and bowling while admiring decor from the ’20s and ’30s.
